    Chettinad Dry fish Curry

    Ingredients:

    ½ Kg Dried Fish
    4 nos Onion Chopped
    10 nos Garlic flakes
    4 nos Tomatoes chopped
    1 tbsp Chilly Powder
    2 inch Ginger
    1 ½ tsp Fennel Seeds
    ½ tsp pepper
    ½ tsp cumin seeds
    ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
    Salt to taste
    Oil for frying.

    Method:

    Soak the Dried fish in water for 1 hour and Wash.
    Cut into small pieces and fry in oil.
    Make the ginger and Garlic to a paste.Grind the pepper, chilly powder, fennel seeds and cumin with little water.
    Heat a pan and add oil, add ½ tsp fennel seeds and curry leaves.
    Add onion, tomatoes, and sauté till soft.
    Add turmeric powder and chilly powder paste and ginger Garlic paste.
    Sauté till the oil separates and good smell comes.
    Add the fried fish and blend with the masala.Cook till done.
    Add little water if necessary.
    Add salt only if required.
